the news. The sad news that was just

announced, Aretha Franklin has passed

away. She was 76 years old.

He's been suffering for some

time, ill for some time.

On her deathbed for the last

week, she passed away in

Detroit, Michigan. She was from there. She wasn't one of the Motown artists. One of on her deathbed for the last week she passed away in uh... detroit michigan

uh... didn't sign in uh... she was on columbia originally

then went to atlantic records where uh... huge success happened for

uh... grew up in detroit Michigan. She moved to Los Angeles.

She moved to New York for a while, I think in the 60s, then Los Angeles, then back to Michigan.

Now being from Michigan, I can't imagine moving back there after you've been in New York.

But I think the reason is she wouldn't fly.

She had a terrible fear of flying and had to drive everywhere.

So when you're on tour and you're doing concerts all over the place, it's a long, long drive.

So I think that's the reason she moved back.

She needed to be in the middle of the country because that cross-country drive was just the brutal.
