Scott, we're going to jump right into this story that we discussed last week in terms of euthanasia and the medical aid in assistance in dying in Canada, because there's a backstory to this that concerns me even more than I was concerned last week.

And I suspect it does with you as well.

This is a long article in the Atlantic.

I'll try to just give key highlights here before we weigh in.

But it describes how in 2016, Canada's parliament legalized the practice of euthanasia.

And the way this article frames it, it said one day administering a lethal injection

to a patient was against the law.

The next, it was as legitimate as a tonsillectomy.

That's pretty stunning.

Now about made, medical assistance and dying, now counts for about one in 20 deaths in

Canada, more than Alzheimer's and diabetes combined.
