Summary

In 2023, it's CULTOBER day 4, but on October 3, 2022, it was the first episode of the second season of That's So Fucked Up Presents, "New York Noir". Ash was honored to be joined by exoneree, journalist, public speaker, author and host of the podcast Labyrinths, Amanda Knox, as she told her the story of the Sarah Lawrence College Cult.

When Talia Ray's recently released ex-convict father, Larry, was brought into Slonim Woods 9 dorm at Sarah Lawrence College, it was under the pretense that he'd only be there for a short while as he got back on his feet. But Larry long outstayed his welcome with this vulnerable group of college kids, billing himself as a “truth teller” and "counseling" them, and one by one, sucking them into his evolving cult. Government corruption, molestation, mental illness, forced labor and sex work ensue.
