Hi my friends, it's Sally Clarkson and welcome to Monday of my podcast Add Home with Sally

and friends. And today I'm going to be talking a little bit about this whole area of virtue.

We are on the second part of chapter 3 and I think it's so important, virtue is so

important because virtue is the pool, the treasure chest, whatever the containing place that

you have in your heart from which you draw every single day. Virtue, the definition of virtue,

is moral excellence, goodness, righteousness. Either you have it or it's a lack of that.

And so I wanted to talk about how in the world do we give this to our children, do we

shape it with our children. But I wanted to read a little tiny passage from Awakening

Wonder, a book that I wrote about kind of the scope of what it looked like for clay

in me to educate our children, to train them, to love them, to be with them. And I think

that it's so important for us to understand, yes there are good materials out there.

We did the 24 family ways, that's one thing you can use. There are many many others that

can help cultivate the imagination of virtue. But what I talked about in Awakening Wonder

is that our goal as parents, our goal as teachers, our goal as whatever, if we have anything

to do with children or with anybody even in the ministry, is to so live in such a way,

in the life, the beauty, the goodness, the celebration, the creativity of Christ that

when other people are in our presence, they have a sense that our lives are different, that

we are full of the life of the creator of the universe. And so we have to be growing in
