You all may remember a really fantastic story from a few months ago with a truly fabulous

title playing Nice with God's Bowling Ball by N.K.

Jemisin.

Well, I am pleased to say that we are back with another story by Nora K. Jemisin and I

couldn't be more thrilled.

As you may know, she is the author of the highly acclaimed and awarded trilogy of novels

known collectively as the Broken Earth Trilogy.

And this is a story that comes from her most recent collection of short fiction entitled

How Long Till Black Future Month.

I was primed and ready when this compendium of science fiction short stories came out

and I was not disappointed.

I highly recommend this anthology.

Her stories range from the epic to the incredibly intimate and she does both of those feelings

masterfully.

This story is called cuisine de memoir or the kitchen of memories and it is set in one

of my favorite places on the planet and certainly one of my favorite places to eat, New Orleans,

Louisiana.
