Rap after last night's Cubs outcome, and I'm not going to tell you not to because it was pretty brutal.

On this show, we're obviously going to talk about the Cubs and what has been now almost a 10-year post-season run of offensive anemia.

And whether or not there's anything that tells us why this keeps happening.

But I think the headline is the Brewers are a better team of the Cubs.

Cubs might come back and win, but I just, I think the brewers are better at baseball than they are right now.

So we're going to talk about Maddie's experience at the game. He was our

ambassador, our envoy for DBU, was there taking it all in. And I can only imagine once again,

you had that first inning sense of, okay, all right. And then let's reset where the bears are right now in bearsdom coming off of this very, very early by and looking at, frankly, what is a very different schedule than it appeared.

And I don't know how many times I have to say this about everybody that goes crazy when the schedule comes out.

And I know schedule releases and the memes

and the social media is a big deal.

But never draw sweeping conclusions

from an NFL schedule before you know who's hurt.

This is every year and nobody wants to hear it.

Because everybody's like win loss, win loss, win loss, win loss. You can't do that unless

you know who the quarterbacks are. And once quarterbacks start getting hurt, it changes everything.

Once teams start getting hurt, it changes everything. And the bears can look at a schedule that looks

very, very different right now. And I told you it was going to look different.

I don't know that it fundamentally alters the arc of their season,

whether it's playoffs or not, and it changes our narratives regarding Ben Johnson.
