President Trump is now on the way back to the U.S. talking up what he described as a successful

visit to China. Trump says fantastic trade deals were made during talks with Chinese President

Xi Jinping. He told Fox News they had to do with soybeans from American farmers,

airplanes from Boeing, and oil that can help China reduce its dependence on Iran. But as of this

morning, there aren't a lot of other details. Remember, China is a key Iranian ally, so the war

did apparently come up more than once. Trump told Fox News, China offered to help resolve the

conflict and promised not to give any

military equipment to Iran. The White House also says both China and the U.S. are against the

militarization of the Strait of Hormuz and any effort to charge a toll to shippers who use it.

The statement from the Chinese government was less specific, just saying that the war should

never have happened in the

first place. It's not clear if any of this will change America's trajectory in Iran, but President

Trump did post online that the war is to be continued, which news outlets pointed to in the
