I'm When we left off in both versions of the story, Will and Jim had just watched the carousel run backward, Mr. Cougar, turning younger with every spin, until he stepped off as a 12-year-old child. Before they could

even breathe, the lights died and the boy took off running down the midway. Will and Jim followed,

chasing him into the dark, not knowing what they were running toward or what was waiting for

them next. Let's get started, shall we? So the kids are running after the young Mr. Cougar, but he's long gone in the streets empty.

As they run past Mr. Cressetti's barbershop, Will notices a sign on the door that says,

Closed Due to Illness. He stops to read it, and a cool detail from the book that doesn't come up in the movie

is the barbershop pole is still lit and spinning.

And if you remember in the book, Will asked Mr. Cressetti to keep the pole lit and he did.

Anyway, Jim calls after Will.

They run down the street till they come upon their schoolteacher's house. Look, his bowling's house. Will. They run down the street till they come upon their school teacher's house.
