Hello, and welcome to Cinema Story Origins, episode 18B, Disney's The Fox and the Hound, Part 2. The The In the last episode, we went over how the fox and the hound plays out in the book versus the movie.

In the book, Todd was orphaned when his mother was killed and taken in by humans who tried to tame him.

It kind of worked. He came back for food, but he mostly preferred the wild.

Copper, on the other hand, was never some playful pup. From the jump, he was the master's

top hunting dog, experienced

and deadly. They were never friends. From Chapter 1, Todd antagonizes and taunts Copper,

as well as the other dogs, knowing they were chained and couldn't get at him. So from the very

beginning of the book, Todd and Copper are enemies, aren't they?

And the movie changes all that into a tragic friendship.

Todd and Copper meet his kids just playing around, not realizing they're supposed to be enemies.

But time doesn't let that last.

Copper goes away on a long hunting trip, and when he comes back, he's completely different,
