You're listening to Catholic Sprouts, the daily podcast for Catholic kids that strives to plant seeds of faith.

0:25.1

Greetings, young Squire Sprouts. Today is the ninth day in the fourth month in the year of our Lord 2022.

0:30.6

My name is Sir Roland Peterlot, and you're listening to Saturdays with Sir Rowland

0:33.7

on Catholic Sprouts, where every Saturday we discuss the art of dragon slain.

0:38.5

All week you've been discussing the deadly sin of greed.

0:41.5

And there's another name for greed, which is the dragon named Averis.

0:45.7

In Sir Wyvern's manual, the symptoms of exposure to stents for Averis include greediness and whining for more stuff.

1:17.4

more carrots out there to draw us farther and farther away from God. And there's nothing

1:21.7

wrong with carrots. They're actually good for your eyes. And there's nothing wrong with stuff.

1:26.4

The problem is the lie that

1:27.6

he sells with the stuff, which is that stuff will make you happy. To give you an example in my own

1:33.0

life, I've heard Averis's voice a lot lately because I really want a barn in my backyard. It started

1:39.4

with Averis simply whispering, all your neighbors have barns, you need a barn too.

1:44.8

If you just had a barn in your backyard, then you would be happy.

1:48.1

But then, of course, I think,

1:49.6

But I don't just want a barn.

1:51.6

I want a dragon slayer's training facility with an indoor archery range.
