Today is the 19th day in the third month in the year of our Lord 2022.

My name is Sir Roland Paterlot, and you're listening to Saturdays with Sir Roland on Catholic Sprouts,

where every Saturday we discuss the art of dragon slain. Today, we have a very serious dragon to discuss in our Dragon Slayer's 101 training. In my

opinion, this dragon is the leader of all the other dragons. In Sir Wyvern's Dragon Slayer

Manual, the dragon's name is Braggin. And you know what Bra bragan does, right? Yeah, he brags.

He thinks he's awesome.

He thinks he's better than everyone else.

He thinks he doesn't need anybody else and he's very, very selfish.

He wants to do everything his own way because he thinks his way is always best.

So why do I think he's the leader of the dragons?

Because the first dragon, whom we've discussed before, was Lucifer,

that fallen angel who rebelled against God. Lucifer, if you recall, was an angel of light. His name

meant light bearer, and he was the most intelligent of all the angels, so intelligent that his

pride got the best of him. Yes, pride, sound familiar? He was so arrogant and full of himself that he thought

he was better than God, and he refused to be obedient to God. He's the one that sold Adam and Eve the big

lie that God didn't love them, and therefore he successfully convinced them to be disobedient as well.

Disobedience comes when we decide our way is better than God's way. That is really

where all sin comes from. Pride is at the root of it all. Now you see why bragging is so dangerous? It's not

just about bragging. Like when you score 25 points in the basketball game and you start telling

everyone how you're the greatest basketball player in the county. Or when you score 100% on your math quiz and you start bragging to your friends how you're the
