You're listening to Catholic Sprouts, the daily podcast for Catholic kids that strives to plant seeds of faith.

0:30.2

Hey there, Sprouts. Today is Friday, January 14th, 2020. This week on the Catholic Sprouts podcast, we are talking about the beautiful creation that we all experience, created by God.

0:36.8

The most beautiful piece of this, of course, is humanity.

0:40.2

Created in the image and likeness of God, made even higher through the life, death, and resurrection, and ascension into heaven of Jesus Christ.

0:49.6

Yesterday, we started talking about how no matter what your personality or preference might be,

0:54.8

the Catholic Church is the perfect place for you to be. We talked about thinkers first yesterday,

1:00.9

but it's also a great place if you like to party. Now let me explain. As Catholics, you likely know

1:08.3

if you listen to this podcast that we have lots of feast days.

1:12.2

No matter what day it is, there is a saint celebrating a feast day that day.

1:18.2

We also have certain days that are even higher, that are high feast days or even solemnities,

1:24.0

where we are really called to celebrate days to celebrate the events of Jesus' life or Mary's

1:31.3

life or just all the saints in heaven. We are called to celebrate. And Catholics, unlike other

1:39.0

parts of Christian denominations, we are not afraid to celebrate. We're not afraid to have a big feast.

1:47.7

When we're old enough, we're not afraid to have a glass of wine to celebrate.

1:52.4

All of these things are good. And we know that Christ himself liked to celebrate when he was at the

2:00.2

wedding feast at Cana celebrating the new marriage of a young

2:04.1

couple, he celebrated and even made more wine so that the party could keep going. So if you really

2:12.1

love celebrating, being joyful, being with groups of people, well, my friends, welcome to the Catholic Church.

2:18.7

You are in the right spot.

2:20.5

The next group of people that are very welcome in the Catholic Church are ordinary people.

2:27.6

Now, by this I mean people that aren't mystics or aren't called to stand in front of a big crowd and give an inspirational speech.

2:37.6

Just ordinary people.
