Today is Tuesday, November 30th, 2021.

Today is also the feast day of St. Andrew, the Apostle.

Now, St. Andrew was one of the very first men that went and followed Jesus when his public ministry began.

Andrew was there when Jesus came to be baptized by St. John the Baptist.

And when St. John the Baptist pointed out that this is the Lamb of God, St. Andrew left, followed Jesus, and even went to get his brother Simon Peter to follow Jesus as well. Now, St. Andrew is a remarkable

example of spreading the faith no matter what. Tradition tells us that after Jesus ascended back into heaven, Andrew preached like

crazy. Eventually, like many of the other early apostles, he was martyred. He was martyred on an X-shaped

cross. But even while he was hanging from that cross, he continued to preach, he continued to

convert and to have people enter the Catholic faith. In fact, such a crowd gathered at the base of

this cross and they were being converted and baptized that the authorities eventually ordered

that St. Andrew's body be taken down before he was dead.

Eventually, the wounds he suffered during the crucifixion did claim his life and he died a martyr,

but he shows us that nothing should stop us from speaking the name of Jesus and bringing others to him.

Now, today we are going to continue in on a series that we've been doing since the fall.

This series looks at why the Catholic Church is the true church.

Of course, our church was founded by Jesus Christ God Himself.

We also looked at how the church built modern society and modern science.

Also, how our church allows us to become the best version of ourselves to become heroic for Jesus.
