You're listening to Catholic Sprouts, the daily podcast for Catholic kids that strives to plant seeds of faith.

0:23.6

Hey there, it's sprouts.

0:28.0

Today is Tuesday, July 27th, 2021.

0:32.5

This week we are talking about the fourth beatitude.

0:40.7

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. Now yesterday we talked about how righteousness is holiness and how, in order to be happy, we need to have the number

0:48.6

one desire of our life, even above like actual hunger and thirst, we should have a desire for holiness.

0:57.8

And holiness, of course, is that personal relationship with God. But how that relationship can only

1:05.8

1:51.3

slightly off course. I'm going to have a personal conversion where I stop trying to direct

1:57.9

my own path. I find God and I follow His will for my life. I follow Him.

2:09.1

Now, I know that that might seem kind of abstract, but the way that we come to a personal conversion begins with a desire for truth.

2:21.8

A desire for truth.

2:23.5

I want to know what is true.

2:26.5

Now, what does it look like to desire to know what is true?

2:32.2

Well, this means that there is a longing inside of me. I know that there is a God

2:38.1

out there. I've heard lots of people, my teachers, or my parents talk to me about it, but I want to

2:45.7

really investigate on my own and allow God to speak directly to me.
