Today is also the feast day of a French saint, St. Louis de Montford. Now, St. Louis de Marlford was an incredible lover of Mary.

He really worked hard to promote Marian, just relationship, that we pray the rosary, that we look to her as guidance,

and that we allow her to protect us and lead us to Jesus.

St. Louis de Montfort, like many other saints, teaches us that the

surest and the easiest way to get close to Jesus is through Mary. And so he boldly said,

like some other great saints after him, Mary, I am totally yours. So we started yesterday a series here on the podcast that will have us look at and understand better, some common things that we do and see and experience at our churches, especially when we attend Holy Mass.

So yesterday we looked at the Holy Water font

You look around, you see the pew that you plan to sit in.

you genuflect. Now, chances are you know why you genuflect, but it is good for all of us, even adults, to remind ourselves of why. Why do we act so differently in a church than we do at a baseball game or at a

school or anywhere else? We only genuflect at church, so it must mean something, and it does.

Now, genuflection actually comes from the time when there was kings and knights.
