0:44.7	Today is also the feast day of a French saint, Luis de Merillac.
0:49.0	Now, all week on the Catholic Sprouts podcast, we are going to be working our way towards a very exciting event
0:56.0	that is happening this Friday. It is a feast day, but even more so that it is a solemnity,
1:04.5	and it is the solemnity which we celebrate St. Joseph. Now, this is so exciting this year because Pope Francis has declared
1:13.5	this entire year to be dedicated to St. Joseph. Also, over 150 years ago, a different Pope declared
1:23.4	that St. Joseph was the patron of the universal church,
1:28.7	meaning no matter what country you live in, language you speak,
1:32.8	whatever St. Joseph is your patron saint.
1:37.7	So a solemnity means that even though it is on a Friday,
1:41.6	and even though we are in Lent,
1:46.6	because we have St. Joseph's Feast on a Friday, and even though we are in Lent, because we have St. Joseph's feast day on Friday, we can eat meat and we can celebrate because it is that big of a deal.
1:54.4	So to build toward this great feast day on Friday, we are going to be talking about each of the
1:59.8	saints to celebrate feast days this week, and we are going to be talking about each of the saints to celebrate feast days this week,
2:02.5	and we are going to be examining how God can use all things for His glory. Now, we know that God can
2:10.7	use the good things for His glory, like our prayer and fasting, and when we choose to serve someone else, even if it means that we go
2:20.8	without or overlook our own needs, we know that God can use those things. But as we see in Holy
2:27.6	Scripture, and as we see over and over again in the lives of saints, God can even use our sins, our brokenness, the ways that
2:39.7	the world has been corrupted or hurt. Though God does not desire for those things to happen,
