0:23.7

Hey there, Sprouts.

0:28.2

Today is Wednesday, February 17th, 2021.

0:31.8

Today is also the first day of Lent.

0:34.6

Today is Ash Wednesday.

0:41.1

Now, my challenge for you today's sprouts is to if at all possible,

0:49.6

attend an Ash Wednesday service to go to Holy Mass. If you remember, there are many beautiful and symbolic things that you will see at an Ash Wednesday service. And we're going to talk about a few of

1:48.0

Father will bless the ashes, and then he will have several people from the congregation come up and

1:55.8

help distribute the ashes. Everybody, no matter how old you are, whether you've received your first

2:01.6

communion or not, even babies, we all approach and either the priest or one of the ministers

2:08.0

will put the ashes on their thumb and then they will raise their thumb to our forehead,

2:14.1

trace across on our forehead with the black ashes and they will say these words.

2:21.2

They will say, remember that you are dust and to dust you shall return.

2:29.7

Remember that you are dust and to dust you shall return.
