podcast, we have been circling around and around this most important question that Jesus

put to his disciples, but he also puts to all of us.

He says, if you're going to follow me, then you need to know who I am. And so who do you say

that I am? Now, this is the question, the question for all Christians. It is also the question that

will be guiding us all fall as we really investigate who Jesus was, the time that he lived,

the choices he made, the words that he spoke. How can we know him better? And therefore boldly answer this question, not only with the words

that we say, but with the life that we live? Who do we say that Jesus Christ is? Now, we've already

talked about a couple of things on this point. We talked about that Jesus was a real

person. He lived at a real time and a real place. But we also said that Jesus was God, 100%

undeniably God, God who was present at the moment of creation that worked through all the events of the Old Testament,

that came to earth as man that rose from the dead and that exists in heaven today

and is calling us home to him up there.

We also know that being a Christian, believing these things about Jesus, forces us to make a choice.

Jesus said, I am the way. We know that the way to heaven is Jesus. And that the only way we will get there is if we exist fully in him. If we give all that we are

to him. And he also said quite plainly, either you are with me or you are against me. There is no half.

There is no partial, it is all.

And so, Sprouts, we're going to come back to this question today.

Who do you say that I am?

Now, the author C.S. Lewis, who wrote the Narnia books, he put it in a way that I think is very powerful.

If we look at the Gospels, if we look at the words that Jesus spoke, and we're trying to really figure out, maybe even from a historical

standpoint, if we try to figure out, well, who was Jesus? Just based on what he said,
