Hey there, Sprouts. Today is Monday, April 20th, 2020. This week on the Catholic Spouts podcast, we are going to be tackling one of the biggest questions in Christianity. And that

0:35.6

question is this.

0:41.9

Why does God allow evil things to happen?

0:49.3

Now, this question is particularly important for us all right now as we live through a pandemic. No matter what city or country you live in, you have been most likely affected by the coronavirus.

0:58.1

Your schools are closed.

0:59.6

Your churches are closed.

1:01.3

Your parents can't go to their jobs or maybe they've even lost their jobs.

1:54.6

situation that has happened in recent weeks with the pandemic. Recently in the news, I read about a woman who within three days

2:03.9

lost both her husband and her son to the coronavirus. This one family was hit so hard that two

2:14.5

members died. Now, as you can imagine, many of the people close to this woman,

2:21.1

searching for something nice to say to her, might have just shrugged their shoulders and said,

2:27.5

there's no explanation, but this has to be part of God's plan. That something as big as death has to be part of some sort of God's bigger plan that we don't

2:39.4

understand right now.

2:41.5

Well, in case you've ever been tempted to say something like that, Spruits, I want to tell

...
