You're listening to Catholic Sprouse, the daily podcast for April 16th, 2020. We are also still celebrating the octave

0:30.2

of Easter. Alleluia, he is risen. Keep celebrating. This week on the Catholic Sprods podcast,

0:37.3

we are talking about Easter and talking

0:39.4

about divine mercy and how they are so deeply related that mercy is love's second name and that after

0:47.0

Jesus suffered and died on the cross, he won for us the rewards of heaven. These two things are so

0:53.0

linked. And if we trust in Jesus Christ,

0:56.9

if we call on His mercy, we will join Him in heaven. So we already talked about a couple of

1:40.1

She really took it upon herself to pray the divine mercy chaplet for the conversion of souls.

1:56.2

And she had one soul in particular that she desperately wanted to be converted. It was her brother. Her brother

2:04.3

was an atheist, meaning he refused to believe that God even exists. He never went to church.

2:11.7

He never bothered to think about God, and he thought people that believed in God were foolish.

2:19.7

Well, Sister Teresita knew that it was pointless to argue with her brother anymore. So instead she turned to Jesus to his divine

2:25.4

mercy and dedicated herself to pray the divine mercy chaplain for her brother for 54 days in a row.

2:37.8

She decided to do that. She also enlisted one of her brother's friends to help her. So together they got to work. They prayed the divine mercy chaplain. But just a

2:43.1

couple of days into their prayer, her brother was diagnosed with brain cancer and it was serious.
