Today is Friday, March 6th, 2020.

We are in the first week of Lent.

And this week, we have been talking about the vice of anger.

We talked about how anger can be good

when it's a reaction to an evil we see in the world

because it motivates us to fight that evil.

But more often than not, it is a sin that comes out of us feeling offended.

We've talked about how Jesus' words from the cross,

Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do. Give us two lessons on turning our back on anger

and instead choosing forgiveness. That we forgive first because we're ignorant to what other people

are experiencing and there probably is a reason for what they did. And secondly, we should forgive because we are called to

be like Christ, who offered limitless, endless forgiveness. Yesterday, we talked about how the

enemy really wants to use anger to destroy our relationships so that we are alone and we are

easier to lead into temptation.

Now today we are going to talk about our saint of the day because she offers us a powerful

example of how refusing to give in to anger is the only way to really accomplish God's good and holy work.

So today's saint is Saint Collette.

Now, St. Colette lived quite a while ago in France, and she lived what might seem like a
