So we are going to skip a little bit ahead and instead do the sacrament of the

anointing of the sick today. So first of all, let's talk about the sacrament. Now, where does

this sacrament come from? As you likely know, all of the sacraments of the Catholic Church

come from Jesus himself. Now, did he say, I want you to have a

sacrament called anointing of the sick? No. But did he demonstrate that he cares deeply about those

that are sick and hurting? Yes, he did. He also made it clear that he wants us to bring those people that

are sick in our lives to him, and he wants us to come to him when we are sick or hurting.

There are countless stories in the Gospels about times when people came to Jesus for healing,

people suffering from leprosy, people that are blind, even blind from birth.

There's a story in the gospel where there are so many people trying to get to Jesus for healing

building where Jesus is so that they can lower down someone who is sick. So this is what Jesus
