| 1:26.9 | noticed, but we hear quite a bit about the time when Jesus was born. |
| 1:32.2 | And then we hear basically nothing about him growing up in Nazareth. |
| 1:38.7 | Almost nothing. |
| 1:40.0 | There's one tiny story about him being left behind in Jerusalem. |
| 1:45.5 | And that's a good story. |
| 1:48.3 | But other than that, we don't hear much. |
| 2:00.3 | The next we hear about him, he is a grown-up, and he is going to visit his cousin, John, who was down in the Jordan River baptizing people. |
| 2:00.9 | Now, there is so much that we can say about the baptism of Jesus. |
| 2:04.8 | Of course, he shows us the importance of repenting from our sins, |
| 2:10.0 | even though he didn't have any sins to repent from. |
| 2:13.9 | But what I want you to really remember today is what God did after Jesus was baptized. |
| 2:22.9 | Because remember, Jesus' entire life on earth, it wasn't just a cool story or an amazing thing he did for us. |
