Today, we are going to talk about how certain types of knowledge can transform the way that we live. It can take that seed of faith and allow us to see that we

should be living in a completely different way. So when we receive this divine gift from the Holy Spirit,

this gift of knowledge, it not only helps us understand and believe, but

it asks us to change. It asks us to follow God better. Now, the greatest example of this,

perhaps, is that of St. Francis of Assisi. St. Francis celebrated his feast day a little while ago,

but he is one of the most well-known saints in our Catholic communion of saints.

St. Francis was born in Italy, and he had the good fortune of being born into a pretty wealthy family.

His father was a merchant, and he traveled all around getting precious fabrics, and he made

quite a good living selling clothing and fabrics.

And Francis worked in this little business.

In fact, in his early life, Francis really enjoyed all

the pleasures of life. He even went off to fight in the Crusades because at the time, the Pope was
