Hey there, Sprouse. Today is October 7th, 2019. It is also the feast day of Our Lady of the Rosary.

Now, this week on Catholic Sprouts, we are going to be talking about an incredibly difficult topic.

We are going to be talking about the Trinity.

Specifically, we are going to be talking about the third person of the Trinity, the Holy Spirit.

But before we get there, let's just talk for a second about today's incredible feast day.

Now, if you were listening to this podcast two weeks ago when we talked about Rosary Warriors, then you heard about something called

the Battle of Lepanto. Now, this took place a couple hundred years ago, and it took place

in Italy. At the time, a very strong empire called the Ottoman Empire, which was Muslim, was out to conquer the world.

And they had decided to attack Italy.

And in doing so, wipe out Christianity.

The odds were against the Christians. They had way fewer ships, way fewer soldiers.

And so the Pope in a last attempt to protect Christianity begged everyone to pray the rosary.

Everyone listened, including the soldiers that were fighting. They prayed the rosary, and lo and behold, the weather changed and against the odds, the Christians won.

The credit was given to Mary.

She was given the title to be celebrated on October 7th, Our Lady of Victory.

Only in recent history has this feast day been changed to Our Lady of the Rosary.

Now, that might sound a little bit less fun than Our Lady of Victory, but they really are

the same thing.

And so, Sprouts, I hope that you take this to heart.
