Hey there, Sprouts. Today is Thursday, March 28th, 2019. This week on the Catholic Spouts podcast, we are talking about Jesus Christ as we journey through Lent. But we are talking particularly about his miracles. We've already talked about his first miracle performed at the wedding feast at Cana, as well as a couple of his healing miracles.

And we were reminded that we need to have faith in Jesus for him to work miracles in our life.

And also that he knows us, he knows our suffering, and he wants not only our physical healing, but our spiritual healing

as well. Today we are going to talk about another very well-known miracle that's recorded in

several of the Gospels, and that is the multiplication of loaves, or the feeding of the 5,000.

In several of the Gospels, and a couple of times in some of the Gospels, Jesus is in the midst of a huge crowd. He has been preaching and teaching them,

healing they're sick, and they get to the point where they're in a place far from any market or food source and everyone's

hungry. So Jesus performs a remarkable miracle to feed them. Now the details of these miracles

offer us some beautiful insights into the nature of God and Jesus Christ. So we are going to read about the miracle of the feeding of the 5,000 taken from the Gospel

When it was evening, the disciples came to him and said, this is a deserted place and the hour

Send the crowds away so that they may go into the villages and
