Hey there, Spouts. Today is Tuesday, May 28th, 2019. This week on the Catholic Spouts

0:26.8

podcast, we are talking about war. Now, unfortunately, war is something that we see in our world

0:33.9

all too often. And as we'll see this week, sometimes war is necessary. Yesterday, we talked

0:42.3

about anger and how anger is the first step to the possibility of war. But there are two types of

0:51.1

anger. There is a good and holy anger that is a response to evil,

0:56.1

just like we see Jesus responding to evil in the temple. There is a bad sort of evil that is

1:55.4

important thing to remember is this. War should always lead to peace. That is the objective of war. And now this is true,

2:07.6

whether we're talking about a big war or one of the tiny wars in our own life. War, of course,

2:15.0

means taking an aggressive stance and even being willing to physically harm

2:22.2

others so that big changes are possible. Now, there have been several situations where the

2:29.2

United States has gone to war. One of those that you're probably most familiar with was World War II.

2:36.3

World War II was a very complicated war with lots of different nations fighting.

2:41.9

But one of the things that we know most well that happened in World War II was the genocide

2:48.3

that the Nazis were trying to inflict upon the Jews, the Poles, and a couple of
