Hey there, Sprouts, Today is Friday, May 23rd, 2025. This week on the Catholic Spouts podcast, we have been busy wrapping up our series, the ABCs of the Catholic faith, by talking

about Z, Z is for Zion.

Of course, Zion is a symbolic name for the New Jerusalem, heaven.

So we've talked about how the catechism describes heaven as a place of perfect happiness

where we are united with God forever.

We've also looked at the Old Testament and how heaven is described as a place that we go up to, like with Elijah when he ascended into heaven. And also

revelations, how it describes this place with the martyrs, the saints, and the angels, all singing

around the altar of God.

Today we are going to turn our attention to the prayer that Jesus taught us, the Our Father,

and how heaven is not just something that we are waiting for, but it is something that we as

Christians build here and now on this earth.

But before we get to that, please join me in our May prayer, the Memerare.

In the name of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, amen.

Remember, almost gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known, that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help or sought, thy intercession was left unaided.

Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O virgins of virgins, my mother.

To the I come before the I stand, sinful and

sourful. O mother of the word incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy, hear and

answer me. Amen. In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, amen.
