name for the New Jerusalem, Heaven, which is the city of God where God will dwell for all eternity with his people.

Today we are going to dive into heaven. What does the catechism say heaven is and what will it be like?

So what is heaven?

Well, as you likely know, after we die, we will go to particular judgment, which means all on our own, God will judge what we have done and what we have not done during this

And based on that judgment, we will be sent to one of three places.

If we have rejected God totally, then he will allow us to reject him and to live for all

eternity without him in hell.

If we have sinned against him, but we have not fully rejected him, but we just have

some unhealthy, sinful attachment still, then God will send us to purgatory to have

those things purged, or so that we can be healed and we can be in a full state of grace so eventually
