Today, once again, is a solemnity.

It is Easter Thursday, so keep celebrating.

This week on the Catholic Sprouts podcast, we are going through the ABCs of the Catholic

faith. We are on the letter W for wisdom. We have already talked about the difference between

wisdom and knowledge, the fact that wisdom is a gift of the Holy Spirit and an example of wisdom

from St. Catherine of Siena. Today we are going to turn to the Bible.

There is an actual book in the Bible called The Book of Wisdom. So let's take a look.

But before we get to that, please join me in our April prayer, the Anima Christi.

In the name of the Father and of the son and of the holy spirit amen soul of christ sanctify me body of christ save me blood of christ emboldened me water from the side of christ wash me. The Book of Wisdom. Well, the Book of Wisdom is actually a much more recent book in the Old

Testament than others. Some of them were written a long, long time ago,

by Moses, hundreds and hundreds of years before Jesus lived. But the book of wisdom,

many think, was written only 50 years before Jesus lived. And it is written in the style of Solomon.

So that's what is confusing.

It's written in the style of Solomon, but it was written hundreds of years after Solomon died.

So a quick reminder about who Solomon was.
