Today is Friday, April 18th, 20205.

Today is also Good Friday.

Today we remember Jesus dying on the cross.

This is the day that we remember that most historic event of all

time. Today is also the one day out of the year when you cannot hear Holy Mass, but I encourage you to go to

a communion service and to venerate the cross and remember that all Jesus did for you when he died that day.

We have been working through the ABCs of the Catholic faith this week.

We are on the letter V for vestment.

And I hope you've learned a lot watching a priest prepare to say Holy Mass by putting on his vestments.

So far, we've watched him put the amos, a large piece of cloth with strings around his neck

to conceal his clerical collar. He's also put on his elbe, which is a long, white,

flowy gown that reminds us of our baptism. Then he put on the censb, which is a long white, flowy gown that reminds us of our baptism. Then he put on

the cinchre, which is a rope around his waist. And yesterday he put on the stole, which is a long,

thin piece of fabric that goes around his neck and hangs down secured by the censure.

The very last thing that a priest puts on before he says Holy Mass is the Chazable.
