Catholic Sprouts, where every Saturday we discuss the art of dragon slain.

Today we continue our retelling of the greatest story ever told through the art of dragon slain. Today we continue our retelling of the

greatest story ever told through the lens of dragon slain. In this series, we're spotlighting one

or two characters each week in the story of salvation history to show how they were attacked

by one or more of the seven deadly dragons. So far, we have discussed how Adam and Eve were

attacked and deceived by the red dragon of pride,

how Cain was deceived by the orange dragon of envy, how Noah faced and fought the yellow dragon

of sloth, how Abraham and Isaac were able to successfully slay the green dragon of greed,

and how Joseph, the son of Jacob, was able to overcome the temptations of the blue dragon of wrath

and forgive his brothers.

Now we turn our attention to the Indigo Dragon of Gluttony in one of the most famous

stories in the Bible.

It's a story of a man named Moses and how God called him to lead the entire nation of

Israel out of slavery.

To be successful, Moses is going to have to convince the Israelites to leave

behind the comfort food of their life of slavery in Egypt and embrace the fasting required for freedom
