Hey there, Sprouts. Today is Wednesday, January 29th, 2025. This week on the Catholic Sprouts podcast, we are talking about orthodoxy, or right belief, and purity of faith.

Now, as we investigate our own belief, it is much more important than memorizing a list of rules, although that is important.

It's most important as Christians that we have a strong belief that Jesus really did live, that he really was

God, that he really did die and rise from the dead. And so to do this, we are just refreshing our

memory of the places that Jesus was during the last 20 hours of his life. Here at Catholic Spouts,

we spent several months really analyzing the gospel, prayerfully

coming up with the timeline of these last 20 hours, the important moments of Jesus' life,

and just looking at these places where he was helps us really challenge ourselves to believe more deeply that he truly was

there, he truly did these things, and also to stay with him as he suffers and understand how

much suffering he endured. Before we dive into the next location, which is Caiaphas's house, please join me in prayer.

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, amen. Glory be to the Father,

to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end, amen.

So yesterday we talked about the first location, which was the garden, this real olive grove outside of the walls of Jerusalem.

In the middle of the night, probably around 2 a.m.,

Judas led a group of guards from the high priests out into the garden.

He knew the place because it is often a place where he had gone to pray with Jesus.

So picture the scene.

All the disciples are there.
