| 0:30.1 | Hey there, sprouts. Today is Tuesday, January 14th, 20205. Today is also the feast day of St. Felix of Nola. Now, if you have ever wondered if there is a patron saint of spiders, |

| 0:48.0 | St. Felix of Nola is indeed the patron saint of spiders because of a very cool story that took place during his lifetime back in the 200th. |
| 0:52.7 | So St. Felix lived in Italy, of course, during a time of religious |
| 0:56.7 | persecution for Christians. He was a priest. And when a wave of persecution broke out, he went to |
| 1:04.5 | hide his bishop, realizing that the authorities were getting close to finding his bishop, he went, he grabbed him, |
| 1:13.8 | they went and hid in a different building that had been abandoned. |
| 1:18.2 | Unfortunately, the authorities came there too. |
| 1:21.8 | But when they got to the door, they saw that the entire door had been covered by a spider web, which was miraculous because |
| 1:30.3 | Felix and the bishop had just entered. But seeing this huge spider web, the authorities |
| 1:36.3 | discovered that no one could possibly be inside. So they went on and searched the next building. |
| 1:43.1 | And as a result, Felix and his bishop were spared. |
| 1:48.0 | Because of this miraculous work of this spider, |
| 1:52.7 | Felix is now known as the patron saint of spiders. |
| 1:56.9 | Unfortunately, he was killed and died a martyr's death in a future persecution wave. |
| 2:02.7 | Now, this week we are talking about monastic life as we make our way through the ABCs of the Catholic faith. |
| 2:10.1 | Today we are talking about a cornerstone of monastic life, and that is community. |
