Today is Thursday, November 21st, 2020.

Today is also the feast day of the presentation of Mary.

Now, perhaps you haven't heard of this feast day before, but just as Jesus was brought to the

temple and presented, dedicated to God after his birth, the parents of Mary, Anne and Joachum brought

Mary to the temple, presented her to God, and dedicated her to God as well.

Tradition tells us that Anne and Joachum were older when Mary was born,

that they actually, like many other couples, had assumed that they were barren and would not be able to have children.

But they were very prayerful and faithful, and God answered their

prayer for a daughter. In Thanksgiving, they dedicated Mary back to God, gave her totally to God.

And we know that when she was old enough, Mary gave herself totally to God through her total obedience,

surrender, trust, and love for God.

Now this week on the Catholic Sprouts podcast, we are talking about the letter K

as we work our way through the ABCs of the Catholic faith.

And K stands for KriGMA.

We have already talked about the first two parts of the carigma that God loves you and has a plan

for your life, but that sin interrupts that plan and separates you from God.

Today we get to the rescue part of the story.
