Hey there, Sprouts. Today is Wednesday, April 3, 2019. This week on the Catholic Sprouts

0:26.3

podcast, we are talking about parables that Jesus used to teach his disciples and those that

0:31.6

followed him. Monday we talked about what a parable is. A parable is the Jewish form of storytelling, and it often

1:48.1

But a Samaritan traveler who came upon him was moved with compassion at the sight.

1:54.0

He approached the victim, poured oil and wine over his wounds, and bandaged him.

1:59.9

Then he lifted him up on his own animal, took him to an

2:02.8

inn and cared for him. The next day he took out two silver coins and gave them to the innkeeper

2:08.6

with the instructions. Take care of him. If you spend more than that, then what I give you, I shall

2:15.3

repay you on my way back. Which of these three, in your opinion,

2:20.6

was neighbor to the robber's victim? He answered, the one who treated him with mercy.

2:27.2

Jesus said to him, go and do likewise. The gospel of the Lord.
