Today is the 16th day in the 11th month in the year of our Lord, 2024.

My name is Sir Roland Peter Law, and you're listening to Saturdays with Sir Rowland on Catholic

Sprouts where every Saturday we discuss the art of dragon slain.

Today is the feast of St. Gertrude the Great,

a benedictine nun who was a mystic and visionary in the 13th century. Starting around age 25,

she saw visions of Jesus whom she saw as her divine spouse. St. Gertrude also had a deep

solidarity with the souls in purgatory, so it is fitting that we celebrate her feast day

in the month of November, as we remember the souls of the faithly departed.

Jesus once told her that we could save the following prayer, and it would release a thousand souls from purgatory.

O eternal Father, I offer thee the most precious blood of thy divine son, Jesus, and union with the masses said throughout the world today,

for all the holy souls in purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal church,

for those in my own home and within my family, amen. So today on the podcast, I'd like to share with you a

secret weapon that allows you to slay all seven of the

deadly dragons at the same time. Okay, it's not really a secret. It's the greatest and most

powerful prayer in the universe. And it is the Catholic Mass. Perhaps you didn't know just how

going to Mass can allow you to slay each of the seven deadly dragons if you put your heart into it.

There's many parts to the Mass, but I'm going to share with you how you can remember the

following seven steps of going to Mass in relation to how they slay the seven deadly dragons.
