Today we celebrate the feast of the exaltation

of the Holy Cross. It's the day when the Basilica of the Holy Sepul was dedicated. That basilica

is built over the place of Jesus' tomb, and during the excavation, three crosses were found.

They identified one of them as Jesus' cross when its touch healed a dying woman.

We remember on this day that the cross, once just a sign of torture, has become a powerful

symbol of how God saved his people. And the catechism reminds us that our confirmation,

we receive a special power to confess the Christian faith and never be ashamed of the cross.

we are called to live our lives with passion and zeal and spread our faith to the ends of the earth.
