Greetings young Squires Spruits. Today is the 14th day in the ninth month in the year of

our Lord, 2024. My name is Cyril and Paterlot, and you're listening to Saturdays with

Sir Roland on Catholic Sprouts, where every Saturday we discuss the art of dragon slain.

Today we celebrate the feast of the exaltation

of the Holy Cross. It's the day when the Basilica of the Holy Sepul was dedicated. That basilica

is built over the place of Jesus' tomb, and during the excavation, three crosses were found.

They identified one of them as Jesus' cross when its touch healed a dying woman.

We remember on this day that the cross, once just a sign of torture, has become a powerful

symbol of how God saved his people. And the catechism reminds us that our confirmation,

we receive a special power to confess the Christian faith and never be ashamed of the cross.

Speaking of confessing the Christian faith,

we are called to live our lives with passion and zeal and spread our faith to the ends of the earth.

But that is exactly what the yellow dragon of sloth is trying to prevent us from doing. And the

yellow dragon is our topic of discussion today. We are continuing our series on the phrase virtue stands in the middle.

Thus far, we have discussed the red dragon of pride and the orange dragon of envy. Humility is the

virtue that stands in the middle of pride and its opposite extreme, which is self-loathing.

Admiration is the virtue that stands in the middle of envy and its opposite extreme of idolatry.

Zeal or diligence is the primary weapon of virtue that can help us overcome spiritual laziness

or the yellow dragon of sloth, Acadia. It's one of the virtues that lies in the middle of our
