Catholic coach here from Metanoi Catholic, and we're going to be talking unique design this week.

But before we get into that, today is Tuesday, September 10th, 2024, and it's also also the feast day of St. Nicholas of Tolentino.

Now, this is not St. Nicholas that people know as St. Nicholas around Christmas time.

This St. Nicholas of Tolentino.

Now, he was born in the middle of the 13th century in Italy, and when he was 18, he entered the

Augustinians, and he was ordained a priest when he was 25 years old.

And after that, he was sent to this town called Tolentino, and there was a ton of disagreements

and interior strife going on in this town. These are just people that could not get along.

And he recognized this, and he started to really preach about this from the pulpit at mass.

And he saw it starting to take some effect.

People were starting to resolve some of these disagreements. He was incredibly successful at this

work, and for the rest of his 30 years in Tolentino, he was known for preaching, his wonderful

preaching, and also he was an amazing confessor, and people come all over the world just to hear him preach

and go to confession. And in 1446, he became the first Augustinian to be canonized. He's known as the

patron saint of the souls in purgatory. Why don't we just take a moment here to pray for the souls

in purgatory. Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee.
