Summary

Lord our God,
in your wisdom and love
you surround us with the mysteries of the universe.

Send your Spirit upon these students
and fill them with your wisdom and blessings.
Grant that they may
devote themselves to their studies
and draw ever closer to you,
the source of all knowledge.

We ask this through Christ our Lord.

0:37.8	We've talked about the fact that God is powerful enough, loving enough, and humble enough

0:49.3	We've also looked closely at John chapter 6, the bread of life discourse, where Jesus explains that he is
0:57.8	the bread of life, and he also allows people to stop following him, to go away when they are
1:04.2	offended by this teaching, which helps us realize that this is not a symbol, but that this is
1:10.1	real. Now, today we are going to talk about
1:13.3	what it means to believe in the Eucharist, what it means to be a people that believe this.
1:19.0	So if I truly believe that this ordinary bread and wine is no longer bread and wine. It has
1:26.1	been utterly changed on the deepest level to be Jesus Christ.
1:30.8	What should my response be? Now let's think about that. Well, we say our September prayer, the prayer for
1:40.6	students. In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, amen.
1:47.1	Lord, our God, in your wisdom and love, you surround us with the mysteries of the universe.
1:53.9	Send your spirit upon us and fill us with your wisdom and blessings. Grant that we may devote ourselves to our studies.
2:04.3	Through them, draw us ever closer to you, the source of all knowledge.
2:09.2	We ask this through Christ, our Lord. Amen.
