Prayer for Students:

Lord our God,
in your wisdom and love
you surround us with the mysteries of the universe.

Send your Spirit upon these students
and fill them with your wisdom and blessings.
Grant that they may
devote themselves to their studies
and draw ever closer to you,
the source of all knowledge.

We ask this through Christ our Lord.
R/. Amen.

0:54.1

However, the church had other plans for him.

0:57.6

Later on, he was unanimously elected Pope.

1:01.6

So he left his home, a monastery, went to lead the church.

1:05.4

He did many wonderful things for the church.

1:07.7

He defended the church against invading armies during this time. He helped

refine the liturgy. He is remembered as a father of the church. And he also helped pull the church

1:25.3

we are talking about the Eucharist.

1:28.1

We have already talked about what we specifically believe as Catholics about the Eucharist.

1:33.9

And today we're going to answer an essential question.

1:38.3

Can God really do this incredible thing?

1:42.2

We know that as Catholics, we believe that bread and wine

1:45.7

have been transformed into Jesus' body and blood. But let's think about this logically. Is this

1:53.3

even something that God can do? Now, spoiler alert, yes he can. But before we get there,

please join me in our September prayer,
