| 0:33.9 | We have already talked about his baptism in the Jordan by St. John the Baptist, as well as his 40 days in the desert when he faced the temptation of Satan. |

| 1:36.4 | And no one really understood where all of this was headed. |
| 1:41.3 | Today we're going to dive deeper into these group of people that Jesus called to be his closest |
| 1:47.0 | companions the 12 apostles and what you will discover I am sure is that these men were very |
| 1:55.7 | imperfect and we're not going to just talk about their imperfections to tear them apart. No, we talk about their |
| 2:04.5 | imperfections to remind ourselves that God can use our imperfections too. We don't have to be perfect |
| 2:14.6 | before Jesus calls us. We don't have to be sinless and wonderful before Jesus can use us. |
| 2:23.9 | So let's talk about the people that Jesus called to be close to him. The first one that you |
| 2:30.4 | probably know is Simon Peter. Simon Peter and his brother, Andrew, were fishermen, |
| 2:36.7 | and Jesus called them to follow him. Peter became one of his closest companions, and he even |
| 2:43.7 | made Peter the leader of the church once Jesus ascended into heaven. Now, Peter was bold, impulsive. |
