0:23.7	Today is Thursday, July 25th, 2020.
0:28.3	Today is also the feast day of St. James the Greater.
0:32.7	Say James the Greater was one of the 12 apostles.
0:35.9	As you likely know, there were two men named James
0:39.7	who were in that company that followed Jesus. This is James, the brother of John, the son of
0:47.9	Zebedee. They were fishermen. Jesus called them to follow him around the same time he called Peter and Andrew.
0:56.2	James was part of a small group of apostles that was present when Jesus raised Jiris' daughter
1:04.1	from the dead. He was also present at the Transfiguration.
1:09.8	James the greater has the honor of actually being the first of
1:14.8	the apostles to be martyred. When the church was still in Jerusalem, James the Greater was
1:21.5	beheaded by Herod. Herod beheaded James the Greater because the Jewish leaders wanted the Christians dead.
1:31.2	So he was the first victim. And in fact, centuries later, James the Grater's relics were discovered in Spain.
1:39.1	So there is a whole pilgrimage that you can make in Spain that many people do in honor of St. James.
1:48.0	Now, this week on the Catholic Sprout's podcast, we are talking about the sixth truth of the
1:52.4	corigma. As people that have been baptized and received the sacrament of confirmation,
