Today is the 20th day in the seventh month in the year of our Lord,

2024.

My name is Sir Rowland, Peter Law, and you're listening to Saturdays with Sir Rowland on

Catholic Sprouts, where every Saturday we discuss the art of dragon slain.

Today is the feast of St. Paulinaris,

one of the early Christian martyrs of the church. While not a lot is known about St. Paulinaris for sure,

it's believed that he was ordained by St. Peter himself, and St. Peter made him the first bishop of

Ravenna. He was exiled and tortured many times for preaching the Christian faith, but he

persevered in his generous witness of the gospel of Christ to the very end. He converted many souls to the

faith before he was finally martyred. And so let's continue our series on the seven sacraments of the

Catholic Church and how they can help us face, fight, and defeat the seven deadly dragons. So far, we've discussed

reconciliation in how it helps us defeat the red dragon of pride, baptism, and how it helps us

defeat the orange dragon of envy, and confirmation in how it helps us defeat the yellow dragon of sloth.

Today, we turn our attention to the giant green dragon of greed. We're focusing on one particular sacrament for each dragon.

We have four remaining sacraments, so it's time for you to guess which sacrament I will focus

on in defeating this giant green dragon.

Is it A, marriage, B, holy orders, C, anointing of the sick, or D, the Eucharist. And the answer is, B, holy orders.
