Hey there, sprouts. Today is Wednesday, July 3rd, 2024. Today is also the feast of St. Thomas the Apostle. St. Thomas is one of the 12 men called to follow Jesus. He was there at the last

supper at Pentecost. but the most well-known

story of Thomas gave him the nickname, The Doubter. He was not present during some of the first times

that Jesus appeared to his followers after the resurrection. And so he doubted, how could it be that Jesus rose from the dead? So he said

famously that he would not believe until he could put his fingers in the nail wounds and the wound

on Jesus's side. Later, Jesus appeared. Thomas believed. He fell to his knees and said, my Lord and my God.

And from that moment on, he became an incredible evangelist.

Tradition tells us that he took the good news to India,

that he preached about Jesus, had many people convert there, but he also became a martyr

in India. So we pray through St. Thomas's intercession that when we doubt, we continue to search

until we encounter Jesus and have profound faith.
