Hey there, sprouts, today is Thursday, April 25th, 2024. Today is also the feast day of one of the authors of the gospel. Today is the feast day of St. Mark the evangelist. Now, admittedly, we don't truly know who St. Mark was, but he was

most probably a man named John Mark, who was the cousin of Barnabas, who was a very important

early follower of Jesus. He was very active in the acts of the apostles. The interesting thing is that

St. John Mark was invited by Paul to go along on mission, but he got scared and he went home.

In fact, this caused a whole argument between Barnabas and Paul, but eventually John Mark became a proud evangelist of the faith. He

traveled with Peter, which is very likely where he got the material for his gospel, and he

two died a martyr for the faith. Now this week, we are talking about Eucharistic Mir miracles. We have one more for you today.

But before we get there, please join me in praying, God alone suffices.

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, amen.

I offer you, Lord, my thoughts to be fixed on you, my words to have you for their theme,

my actions to reflect my love for you, my sufferings to be endured for your greater glory.

I want to do what you ask of me in the way you ask for as long as you ask because you ask it.

I pray, Lord, that you enlighten my mind, inflame my will, purify my heart, and sanctify my soul,

So we have talked about a lot of different Eucharistic miracles, mostly about bleeding hosts.

And so today we're going to talk about a different kind of miracle.

And this happened in Sienna in the year 1730.

So in Sienna, this happened in mid-August around the Feast of the Assumption.
