0:34.5	and I'm here as a guest host on the Catholic Sprouts podcast to discuss the
0:38.9	Eucharist with you. Today, we'll be talking about the Mass, especially the first half of the Mass,
0:45.2	which we call the Liturgy of the Word. Now, first of all, when we talk about the Mass, we must remember
0:51.9	that God, in the person of His Son, Jesus, is present to us in four ways at Mass.
1:00.1	The first way is through the person of the priest, who represents and stands in Jesus' place in a most special way.
1:09.0	Second way that God is present to us is through the scriptures,
1:14.5	the Word of God, the Bible, those readings that we hear during the first part of Mass.
1:19.8	The fourth way that God is present to us is in one another, the assembly, the people gathered to
1:25.7	worship and pray the Mass along with the priest.
1:29.0	And the fourth and most special way that Jesus is present to us at Mass is in the Blessed
1:36.0	Sacrament, the Eucharist, which is so wonderful. And as a matter of fact, the Eucharist, the Blessed
1:44.1	Sacrament, Holy Commun holy communion the body of
1:47.7	christ that is the most special way jesus is present to us this side of heaven and you might remember
1:56.1	he said right before he ascended to heaven behold i am with you am with you always, even to the end of the age.
2:03.0	And the most beautiful, special way that Jesus keeps that promise is through his real presence in the Eucharist.
2:12.4	But, friends, when we say the word Eucharist, the Eucharist is another word that we use to call the Mass.
2:22.0	The mass is the celebration of the Eucharist.
2:25.4	And in this life, the mass is where every grace is received.
