Hey there, Sprouts. Today is Friday, March 1st, 2019. This week on Catholic Spouts, we have been talking about Lent because it is right around the corner. We talked about the basics of Lent, how it starts on Ash Wednesday and goes all the way to Easter. We also talked about what we can expect to see during Lent, including the colors,

the ashes, the stations of the cross.

Next, we talked about the things that we can anticipate hearing, the fact that we will not hear the Alleluia,

and that we should look for more silence during Lent.

Yesterday we talked about three things that we can expect to feel during Lent if we are

living it out the right way. And those three things were hunger, boredom, and suffering.

Of course, we don't want to take any of these to the extreme.

Christ does not desire that we harm ourselves.

He simply wants us to start looking at the things that we do too much of and the things

that we can offer him as a sweet and simple gift.

Today, we are going to start talking about what we should be doing during Lent,

because Lent is not only a time of reflection, it is a time of action also.

On Monday, we started the discussion of the resolutions that we should be making during Lent.

And hopefully you went and downloaded that worksheet and have been thinking about them.

But I would encourage you to set three different resolutions for yourself this Lent.
