Today is Thursday, January 25th, 2024.

Today is also the feast day of the conversion of St. Paul.

Before we talk about him and return to sacrifice, however, please join me in praying the prayer for students.

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, amen.

Lord our God, in your wisdom and love, you surround us with the mysteries of the universe.

Send your spirit upon us and fill us with

your wisdom and blessings. Grant that we may devote ourselves to our studies. Through them,

draw us ever closer to you, the source of all knowledge. We ask this through Christ,

our Lord. Amen. So we've already talked about

some incredible saints and what they have to show us about sacrifice. St. Laura Vassana of Chile

taught us that sacrifice is a gift offered to God. St. Marianne Cope showed us that we need to offer God our very best

to show that we are dependent upon him. And St. Francis DeSalle showed us how every moment can be

a sacrifice if we ask God to be present, if we offer him that moment, and if we accept whatever happens from that moment as

his will. Now today on the conversion of St. Paul, we are going to talk about the sacrifice

of the Mass, which is the most important, most epic sacrifice that we get to go and be part of at least once a week, more than once a

week if we want. So first of all, the conversion of St. Paul. When did this happen? Well, as you might

know, St. Paul was actually a Pharisee. And as a young man, he spent his life hunting down Christians, putting them in chains and bringing them back to the Sanhedron in Jerusalem.
