Hey, Sprouts. I'm Clara from Holy Heroes, and I'm back again to continue telling the story of our Lady of Champion. Yesterday, we heard all about how Adele immigrated from Belgium to Champion

Wisconsin. Once she had been there for a few years, Adele had come to love her new home.

She loved the woods and all the animals that she saw there and was always excited when she got

the job to bring the wheat from the family farm to the local mill to have it ground into flour.

She would walk several miles through the woods with a huge bag on her shoulder, but because she

enjoyed the scenery and she loved the peace and quiet, she was always happy to do it.

She was on one of these walks in 1859 when suddenly she saw something very unusual and unexpected.

She ran home to tell her parents,

and they were shocked when she came in, breathless and a little scared. They asked her what was

wrong, and she said, while she was walking to the mill that day, suddenly she saw a bright light

and she saw a lady in white. She said the light was so bright it blinded me,

and it began to change into a shape of a woman. I stopped and stared with the weeds still on my head,

and I couldn't move. Her dress was whiter than snow, and she had a yellow sash around her waist.

She was beautiful, but I was terrified. Her family asked her if she said anything

to this vision, or if the vision said anything to her. Adelle said, she said nothing at all. She just

hovered in the trees. After some time, she just faded away, and only a little white cloud was left

behind. Her family didn't know

what to tell Adele. They were also confused how a woman would suddenly appear in the woods. Perhaps it was

a soul from purgatory. Perhaps it was something else. No one really knew. They decided that on Sunday,
